August 31th, 2010,《Wrath of the lich king》--the second version of《World of Warcraft》which Chinese players waiting for two years had finally issued in mainland China, a new "Warcraft hot" continues to heat up. However, the frenzy of network game subsequently turned up the game addiction problems. In view of the problem's reality and urgency, this paper selects the interpersonal communication activities which exist widely in the《World of Warcraft》as the introduction to analyze the causes and the process of《World of Warcraft》addiction for a player. Based on Professor Kimberly S Young's relevant test about the Internet addiction, Author uses a questionnaire to test the players for their addiction degree classification, and gets interviews with these players in-depth after the author's pertinent adaptation. Then through the statements about interpersonal communication activities in the《World of warcraft》and the investigation about the different performances between the players with different addicted degrees in the interpersonal communication activities of the game. It is found that there is a direct relation between the player's active degree of interpersonal communication activities within the game and the game addiction degree. After that, From the perspective of"Flow theory", this paper explains the reason why players indulge in《World of Warcraft》, and further confirmed the judgment about the relation between the in-game interpersonal communication activities and Internet game addiction. At last, According to Grohol's network addiction stage model theory, John Suler's theory and Griffiths's online game addiction theory, This paper puts forward the suggestions that we should use information exchange platform in-game effectively, and expresses the viewpoints that we should fully understand and meet the players'need and treat the role of friends in the game fairly, the author hope this paper can offer reference for the future research that how to take off the online game addiction.
