| The extent of vocational and technical education and the engineeringeducation have both connections and differences. The engineering education containsthe engineer background of the vocational and technical education, while thevocational and technical education has its own classification of majors. From thelengthwise aspect of the educational system, the vocational and technical educationforms its own system, from the secondary education to the higher vocational andtechnical education. Generally, the engineering education refers to the engineeringcourse in the higher education. We can't see any communication channels between thetwo kinds of education. On the other hand, they still have much common ground inthe educational objectives and the pedagogic task. So from the aspect of multifariousneeds of recruiting, it is very necessary to realize the effective linkages between them.It is decided by the need of socialist modernization, the creation a model for thecultivation of creative talents and the difference need of the talents.For the present, there are still less research on the relationship between thetwo kinds of education .The research about vocational and technical education isfocused on its problems and how to improve it. While the research findings on theengineering education are also absorbed in the suggestion of how to change the modeof nurturing talents.In this paper, the relationship between the kinds of education is analyzedfrom a historical perspective. And draw lessons from other countries so as to offeringsome nice suggestions for the good relationship between the vocational and technicaleducation and engineering education. |
