Nanjing Private Universities Sports Investigation And Countermeasures

In this paper, the actuality of management of physical culture, physical qualified teachers, physical education, extracurricular physical culture, physical field and facilities in Nanjing civilian colleges was investigated completely base on several methods, such as consulting literatures, investigation, interview, mathematics statistics and comparative analysis. In order to provide evidences for physical reformation, the features and existed problems in these colleges were researched and the conclusions are listed below:1. Three-level administration was adopted as the major management method in Nanjing civilian colleges. Although either sports committee or sports leading group is existing in most of these schools, no one departmental sports committee has been set up, furthermore, there is no special office for physical teachers in some schools. This status is far from the requirement proposed in《Standards and Methods》2. Youngers are the majority of physical teachers in these colleges and there are also many other issues, such as large difference in the quantity of teachers, high proportion of extra-recruited teachers to the staffs, lower academic background, unreasonable structure of academic title, low research ability and low treatment.3. In Nanjing civilian colleges, although compendiums of physical education have been established and usage rate of textbooks is higher, the outlines and textbooks compiled on their own effort is fewer; Despite PE (the abbreviation of physical education) courses were found, the total lessons of PE is less than that required in relative rules; The quantity of most classes is more than 40, and the variety of optional subjects is fewer, and the health course was not set up in all colleges; The estimation of students'PE achievement is very unitary.4. Students, in these schools, participate in extracurricular physical exercises frequently, but fewer students have taken part in un-free physical exercises. There is no working program on extracurricular PE or sports training group in some colleges, and that brought impacts on the construction of academic physical culture.5. The lack of physical facilities is dissatisfied the requirements of PE and needs from students.The paper proposed some solutions to deal with existed problems listed above, such as optimizing the management institution of PE continuously, strengthening construction of qualified teachers, establishing special PE courses, converting the form of PE activities, enriching academic physical culture, improving physical fields and facilities.
