Private colleges is an important part ofcurrent higher education system in our country, for our country’s higher education madegreat contributions to the development of my career.Physical education curriculum as the indispensable important content of highereducation, how’s work is one of the important measure of the overall work in colleges anduniversities, is also the basic requirement of social development for talents. The sportsoption class is an important part of physical education curriculum, more to thedevelopment of the sports option class and use, has extremely important significance onconstruction of physical education curriculum.This article mainly uses the literature material method, expert interview method,questionnaire investigation, logical analysis, mathematical statistics, etc., of privatecolleges and universities sports option class in wuxi city opening status investigation andstudy, the conclusion is as follows:(1) physical education teachers in four private colleges in wuxi city, younger, lessexperience, low degree is low, the title of young teachers is given priority to, their age,educational background, professional title structure is reasonable. Very few sports teacherstraining opportunities, thus their scientific research level is relatively low.(2) most of sports elective course of the established project in basketball, volleyball,soccer, martial arts, aerobics, such as traditional project is given priority to, this is becausethe projects site facilities are relatively complete, the students are familiar with, to facilitatethe teaching organization and management.
