The Early Entrance Program (EEP) is an early college entrance program for gifted individuals of middle-school and high school ages at California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA). The program allows participants to skip normal schooling and become full-time, degree-seeking college students. Though there are several early entrance programs in the U.S, the EEP is the only one that encourages the students to skip normal schooling and directly being college students. Meanwhile, it's also the first program to be established.The paper introduces the background,the reason and the historical development of the Early Entrance Program at Cal State L.A:from the admissions criteria,the admissions process,the costs,the mission,the management to the courses of the program; Analyzes the features and discusses the achievement of the program. Also according to the specific conditions of China especially compared to the School for the Gifted in the University of Science and Technology of China, making availablesuggestions for our gifted education.
