The most important things that education concerns are people's growth and development. The education should be an activity that directly face the lives of the humans, care about the lives, and improve the quality of humans. However, many problems exist in realistic education environment, such as ignoring the value of life, overweighting the mark, overlooking the emotional cultivation of life education.And these problems render the pupils not cherish life, doubt the meaning of life. It may be the sign of the social progress and the flourishing of a nation to attach the youth's life quality, promote the youth's life intensity, and optimize the youth's life consciousness.Take Chinese textbooks of primary school published by Jiangsu education press as an example, this paper mainly undertakes the study about life education in primary school Chinese textbook content. The author also puts forward certain requirements and suggestions for teachers when using of textbooks for life education, and hopes it could help infiltration of life education in Chinese teaching in primary schools.This paper is composed of three parts. Firstly, based on Chinese subject in primary schools, the concept and connotation of life education is summed up from aspects of social situation, the new curriculum reform, language courses and necessary relationship. Secondly, the paper makes an interpretation of the contents about the life education embedded in the selected texts of primary Chinese textbooks with four perspectives—understanding life, respecting life, fearing of life and cherishing life. The highlights and shortcomings of life education in primary school Chinese textbooks are founded to offer some guidance and help for educators. Finally, in the teaching practice, concerning how to soak the life education to the students via the contents of the selected texts in primary Chinese textbooks, the requirements for the teachers are proposed. What's more, concrete suggestions for the instruction methods of life education are also proposed. The author hopes to achieve the goals that guide the students to understand their lives, respect their lives and fear of their lives, cherish their lives, pursue the significance and value of their lives.
