A Research On Hot Phenomenon Of Taking Part In Exam For Getting Certificates In College Students Groups

College students taking varied certifieate examinations is a widespread educational Phenomenon in daily university campus. Under the severe social employment situation influence, College students are faced with huge pressure. In order to enhance the employment competitive, they tend to join in the certificate craze. People begin to pay close attention to the certificate craze. This paper based on a survey about the current situation of certificate craze among the college students of a southern university, from the perspective of Coleman's Rational Choice Theory, analyzed the phenomenon of taking part in exam for getting certificates in college students groups.People can use Coleman's Rational Choice Theory to explain those individual actions which have sociological significance,not including those privacy affective behavior or habituating conventional behavior.Confirming the basis that the actor is rational,the theory concerns about the facts of objective actions which formed by systems of actors' choice.Although the actors' purpose is to meet the personal interests to maximum extent subjectively,their actions were also restrained by social norms and social structure.In the practical applications of this theory,the researcher also analyzed the rational college students'behaviour of certificate craze from the following four respects:themselves.resources what they have,the actors' interets and social norms.The objective is to gain a paying socioeconomic position.Also,it is necessary to pay attention to some college students'irrational acts druing the course of taking part in exam for getting certificates.The following three aspects which from government,college and themselves can be done to assure that college students groups taking Part in exam for getting certificates rational and that will be good for the study and success of college students.The main methods the author used are documentation method,questionaire survey,experts investigation and paticipatory observation. Partâ…¡:The investigation and analysis of current situation about the college students groups who taking part in exam for getting certificates.A study was made through questionnaires and interviews to investigate the college students who in a key provincial university about how many students participating in these exams,what type of certificates they are seeking and the motivation of their actions.The collected date which was analysed to find that most respondents taking part in these exams.And most of these participants took utilitarian motivation. Different types of college students in the test showed different characteristics. In addition, there exist many problems such as copycat phenomenon seriously,ignoring professional learning,despising ability training and so on.
