The project is to shape the modern people, to meet the requirement of the overall development of people. After the publication of the national program outline, for ten years, the mass sports investment has been increased year by year. Many mass sports infrastructure construction, various fitness club and groups have been set up. In order to meet the needs of the development of mass sports, a lot of public sports instructor have been trained. In order to be adapted to the development of mass sports, many sports have been reformed and developed. Such as simplify the sports rules and reduce the difficulty, etc. National fitness program points out that to advocate the sports that are easy and suitable for different age, gender, professional characteristics and physical fitness is way to enhance physique healthy.As a new sport, gas volleyball is the ideal body-building project due to its light characteristics. It is just a response to the current national fitness's call, according to the overall program goals and requirements. "Plan of fitness for all is carried out by the national people with teenagers and children as the center". The overall goal of school sports is to enhance students' health, cultivating students' consciousness of lifelong physical education. The characteristics and education target of school sports decides the import function of gas volleyball. Therefore, the development of the gas volleyball in colleges is a strong support for the nationwide fitness campaign.In recent years, in Fujian province, Henan, Guangxi, Gansu, Inner Mongolia the volleyball sport developed in full swing. Gas volleyball competitions of different levels, different sizes have been organized. In Guangxi, gas volleyball is most favorite public exercise. It is supported that the development of gas volleyball in Guangxi universities shall be a success, but it is just the opposite. According to the survey, gas volleyball in the colleges and universities in Guangxi is not as popular as its development in the society. Only a few universities have opened the gas volleyball class in recent years, and gas volleyball course lessons with extracurricular activities as content are few. This paper mainly adopts different methods such as questionnaire, literature data method, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other methods to do investigation on gas volleyball development situation and influence in 11 universities in Guangxi. The paper demonstrates the importance of carrying out the movement in Guangxi universities, and puts forward the conception of the gas volleyball development for college students, enhance their physique, promoting national fitness activities, and provide help for the implementation of "sunshine sports" and the long-term development of gas volleyball in Guangxi.. The results of the study indicate that:1.Gas volleyball has become most popular fitness project in Guangxi. It has experienced three stage:introduction, prosperity and development in Guangxi.2. Current situation investigation of gas volleyball in Guangxi universities:the ratio of gas volleyball course opened is low. There are no volleyball teaching materials and teaching contents, outline, schedule and the quality of teaching can't be guaranteed. The exam content is formulated by the teacher, no skill evaluation standard adopted; The development of extracurricular gas volleyball in universities. University teachers and students take freestyle exercise way when play gas volleyball. The scope is small, no large-scale and huge influence organizations being formed; Guangxi university teachers' education background, professional title and teaching experience are basicallyreasonable.Alltheschoolshave teachers with volleyball professional..Teachers who attend professional training and have related qualification on gas volleyball are less; gas volleyball venues and equipment can basic meet the requirement of colleges.3.Factors influence the development of gas volleyball in Guangxi universities.:policy guarantee, the school leaders'attention; the development of nationwide fitness and sunshine sports, the curriculum factors; Exam system; Teachers strength and training opportunities; The development of university gas volleyball match; The normal development of extracurricular sports activities; Playgrounds, equipment and guarantee factors; 4. Good policy environment and sports reform situation created development space for gas volleyball; Support and attitude from relevant experts, and sports teacher; Characteristic of gas volleyball is more suitable for youth physical characteristics and the needs of social development; Guangxi university sports facilities and the original resources provide foundation for gas volleyball development. There are good mass base and good gas volleyball environment in Guangxi.
