Sino-US Relationship is one of the most important bilateral relationships in the world. During the eight years of Clinton Administration, Sino-US Relationship gradually moved to maturity. The"Engagement"Policy of Clinton Administration is based on the international background——the"Cold war"has ended, the United States government has formulated first real sense of policy in China. Therefore, the"Engagement"Policy has played a guiding role in formulating U.S. policy toward China after the"Cold-war". Through systematic research and investigation on the"Engagement"Policy, we can have better grasp of Sino-US Relationship in the future. This paper analyses the"Engagement"Policy of Clinton Administration systematically and tries to place the"Engagement"Policy of Clinton Administration in macroscopic background——the"Cold war"has ended, and analyses theoretical basis and the reason, content and substance, the concrete implementation in various fields, the relevant factors and the impact of the implementation of"Engagement"Policy from the micro-level. Thus, we can cope the tortuous changes between Sino-US Relationship with active attitude.
