But it is still an virgin field in regulating unmarried cohabitation problems in China. The lawful rights of unmarried cohabits and the other related rights can not get timely and effective protection through the legal way, which causes a lot of disputes, seriously hindered the progress of the society, harmony and development. This paper tries to analysis the regulation & the precise positive of unmarried cohabitation through discussing the phenomenon of unmarried cohabitation and the related rules of western country, so as to provide some new ideas for the construction of the unmarried cohabitation legal system in our country.
