Philosophy Of Technology Exploration Of Marx And Engels

As the feature of people's essential strength, technology, especially the modern technology has changed people's production and life and way of thinking and technology has influenced various aspects of society. With the help of technology, people get the material wealth, but environment has been polluted, the ecology of the whole world has lost its balance and human have been alienated. So we began to rethink technology and human behavior and urgently we need to know what technology in philosophy is.Before the technical era, Marx and Engels explored technology and made great efforts to explain what the technology is and what the social value of the technology is in the relations of the mankind, the nature and the society. Philosophy of Technology of Marx and Engels is useful thing to construct the discipline of Philosophy of Technology and guide the human being to get over the dilemma which is caused by the technology.The paper has five parts:The first part, the background of Marx and Engels and other philosophy of technology which inspired Marx and Engels to think about technology are discussed and then summarized the formation process of philosophy of technology of Marx and Engels. The second part, it is elaborated on that the content of philosophy of technology of Marx and Engels which is in Marx and Engels'writings, including the essence of technology, the relations of technology, people, natural and social, the relationship between technology and productivity, the relationship between technology and science and catabolic technology. The third part, basing on understanding the content of philosophy of technology of Marx and Engels thoroughly, we get its theoretical characteristic:systematic, subordinate and open. The fourth part, expounding the thoughts of MAO zedong, Deng xiaoping, Jiang zemin and Hu jintao thinking about technology, and then analysing the relations among them. Finally, philosophy of technology of Marx and Engels contributed to Marxism, the discipline of philosophy of technology and human being's activities and so on, so we get a conclusion that philosophy of technology of Marx and Engels has the important theoretical and practical significance.
