Communist Youth League Organizations In Promoting The New Generation Of Migrant Workers' Social Integration Into The Question Of Responsibility

With the advance of China's modernization process, peasant workers are experiencing a significant time of intergenerational transition. The new generation of peasant workers accounting for the majority of them has become the major force of our country's economic and social construction. However, due to the restrictions and institutional barriers resulting from China's long-lasting dual urban-rural economic structure, they find it hard to tackle factual problems and truly integrate into the city circle, although each of them bears a persistent city dream. Communist Youth League (CYL) is a mass organization connecting the Party with the youth, having the function of helping the Party and government deal with youth affairs, but also having the characteristics of the third sector, so it bears the responsibility and important political mission in promoting social inclusion of the new generation of peasant workers.Introducing social integration theory and social support theory, combining functions of CYL and analyzing characteristics of new generation of peasant workers and their problems of social inclusion, the essay infers CYL's responsibility in promoting the social integration of peasant workers. This paper is with a case study of CYL in Dongli District, analyzing the status of CYL's performing responsibility in promoting social inclusion of new generation of peasant workers and summing up the existing problems. And then analyzes the reasons deeply from the perspective of ideas and concepts, social support, institution, mechanism and public service separately. On this basis, this article puts forward countermeasures about strengthening the ideological guidance, building social support systems, building institutional systems, establishing long-term working mechanism and establishing public service systems to make CYL better fulfill its responsibility in promoting social integration of the new generation of peasant workers in light of the reasons for impeding CYL's function.
