As a multi-racial nation, ethnic minorities are the essential members of our political systems. Political participation of ethic minorities not only guarantees the development of Chinese democratic politics, but also serves as an important index of democratic politics and political stability. According to the micropolitics, all kinds of political behaviors could trace to individual political agent, whose political psychology process and status would exert significant influences on participative behaviors in the process of political participation. Consequentially, the dissertation intends to analyze the political participation behaviors of ethic minorities through the micro dimension, with the logic of "political context-political psychology-political behavior-the feedback of political context", adds the variable of micro-psychology which affects political participative behaviors besides the macro elements of institution and context.Due to the peculiarity of participative subject, such as factors of the political system, social structure and historical culture, with the interaction of inherent dynamic and external environment, political participation of ethic minorities presents a particularity compared with general political participation, more precisely, the universality, degree, frequency and pattern of participation. Therefore, the dissertation aims to figure out the ingredients and formation and function mechanism of political psychology embedded in the particularity, thus putting forward the route selection which guide and modify the political psychology of ethic minorities. Besides considering the elements of individual psychology which affect political participation, the dissertation explores other variables, such as the group mind-national consciousness, socio- economic and cultural context, with the purpose of interpreting the psychology elements of ethic minorities'political participation.Considering the individual psychology elements in political participation, the study seeks to examine the interaction and logical relations of sections and ingredients, following the psychological process of "political motive-political recognition-political affection and emotion-political attitude", which discusses from low level to high level. Meanwhile, the study pays attention to the peculiarity of ethic minorities'participation, given the function of group psychology such as nationality and ethnicity. On account of the dimension of nationality, there are new independent variables contributing to individual political participation compared with the previous psychology elements.Still more, it is essential for the interaction between political psychology and external contexts to recognize the mouldability of political psychology in political participation. Not only does the formation mechanism of political socialization, ethic interaction, social comparison and sub-social identity, but also the historical and current of culture, institution, economy and transnational religion has a great impact on ethic minorities'political psychology. Therefore, the dissertation seeks to modify the political psychology of ethic minorities, so as to fulfill the political participation of ethic minorities in an order way. We might combine the subjectivity and objectivity, the development and graduation, systematicity and interaction of elements, with the approaches of multi-culture, institution construction, interest intermediation and education propaganda, forming a resultant force of benignant mutual promotion and guiding political psychology, which could promote orderly political participation, advance democratic political development, maintain stable ethic relations and lasting stability.
