What is the deep-seated psychological mechanism of employee slience? This has led to extensive research and attention of psychologists. The scholars Premeaux and Bedeian believe that locus of control and self-monitoring level can affect their expression behavior in tissue, and this can be a new space for thinking and theoretical perspective for the study of employee silence behavior. Based on this Situation, this paper attempts to do the employee silence localization studies, in order to obtain the law of employee slience in our cultural background.First, based on the employee slience research in the West, this study chose for Chinese national conditions of Employee silence and measurement questionnaire, the reliability and validity of the employee silence questionnaire was tested in different groups. Structural equation modeling (SEM) and hierarchical regression modeling (HRM) were utilized to analyze the data for testing the hypotheses proposed.Firstly, the revision of the employee silence has good reliability and validity. Questionnaire has good distinguished validity. Cronbach's alpha coefficients for the measures were above0.90, showing good measurement reliabilities.Secondly, employee silence in different groups has significant differences. Male employee silence is significantly higher than female employee silence; Employee silence has a significantly positive correlation with employees'age. Employee silence also positively correlates with employees'education.Thirdly, in line with predictions, results of SEM analysis revealed that locus of control had a significant negative influence on defensive silence and indifferent silence. But locus of control had no positive influence on acquiescent silence; Locus of control's positive effect on employee Silence was partially mediated by self-monitoring.
