There are many painters and scholars who have studied a lot about the painting and academic achievement of He Jiaying and concluded some ideas and theories, for example, the women topics, his opinion about tradition and western paintings and the breakthrough in painting lines. These are the basis of my thesis and some of their idea is quoted as my argument. But these research for He Jiaying before was not complete and systematic. This thesis will select and sum up these ideas and theories, to find more new perspectives to study He's paintings. The whole study is divided into four parts according to the painting creation stages, beginning with He's concerning of nature and humanity beauty, then to the born of his creative idea and his exploration to the unique expression way, finally He found the appropriate painting method. This is the process of He's systematic construction to the new Chinese realistic painting. Finally, summarizing a general norm of painting based on He's individual achievement to guide painters during their creation work.
