The development and transmission of Karma Kagyu, a sect of Tibetan Buddhism in northwest of Yunnan, is closely related to historical regimes. The communication and interaction between Karma Kagyu and different regimes have been mostly supported by Naxi native chieftains (Tusi officials) in the Ming dynasty and the implementation of the policy of freedom of religious belief in the People's Republic of China.Shouguo temple of Karma Kagyu at Weixi County in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture was built in the Qing emperor Yong Zheng five years (1727) by Naxi native chieftains and was the place national upper joined forces of national power history product. The historical development of the temple was closely related with the different period of the regime, in a certain sense, the history of the development of religion and politics that was interactive relations. But due to the Shouguo temple is located in the secluded environment for the systematic research of historical development of the temple so far has few. This paper sees Shouguo Temple as the object of study, drawing on existing research results foundation, combining the field investigation material, and attempts to comprehensive explain the historical and cultural changes since the temple built so far.The paper discusses the background of the history of temple appear and process that is based on sorting out the historical development of the Shouguo temple, to describes the lineage and monks organization and explains the history of interaction that the Shouguo temple with different period regime, analyzes the interaction between temple and believers. Thinking the Shouguo temple in the process of historical change, the political identity and cultural identity as a manifestation of national identity is the monastery and political communication path, thereby realizing the development and social adaptation of the temple; and different time of temple and the characteristics of the exchange regime is analyzed, think the Shouguo temple in the historical vicissitude process, with the premise of the interactive relationship between regime is for the temple to promote social good development of social function.
