The Study On The Content Structure Of Couples' Marital Happiness And Its Relationship With Other Factors

In recent years, under the influence of the wave of positive psychology, more and more psychologistbegan to study the positive psychological quality,research subjects about happiness,hope,optimistic andsatisfaction already common occurrence. Especially about happiness, subjective well-being andpsychological well-being researches is carried out a raging fire. But the specific to family category, themarital happiness researches are numbered, this makes it a new luminescent spot of happiness studies. Theso-called marital happiness means of couples' subjective evaluation of their experience of happiness orsatisfaction in marriage.The purposes of this study were to investigate the contents of marital happiness of the couples and therelated researches. For these purposes some standard research methods, such as literature review, interviewand survey were used in there research. In addition, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factoranalysis, canonical correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were also applied for dataanalysis. More than1100married persons were surveyed. The main conclusions are as the following:First, the content of marital happiness consisted of five factors which included emotionalcommunication, understanding and support, sexual life, mutual loyalty and conflict resolution.Second, discussion about the demographical variables' effects on the contents of marital happiness.The demographical variables included age, marriageable age, vocation and number of children. It wasfound that the demographical variables had some significant effects on the contents of marital happiness.Third, discussion about the relationship between the trust, marital commitment and marital happiness,we found that there are positive correlation between them, and marital commitment was the completemediate variable in the relationship.
