In order to achieve best work performance in the complex environment, the brainsolve a variety of conflicting information occurrence simultaneously through thecognitive control system. But what is the cognitive control solved by multipleconflict resolution mechanism, as well as the interaction between the differentconflict. To solve this problem, we integrate Flanker conflict based on stimulationand Simon conflict based on response, to explore whether the integration of these twoconflicting mechanisms of multiple cognitive conflict is consistent with existingresearch. There are four experiments in this study, we incorporate Flanker and Simonconflict in experiment1; we also incorporate Flanker and Simon conflict by usingother material, and discuss whether the differences between the results of experiment1and previous results is caused by confusion the task due to stimulus material; Inexperiment3and4,we control a conflict to explore the effects of another conflict. This study inspect the cognitive control mechanisms from reaction time, theresults shows: the conflict adaptation effect and consistency effect have occurredunder the conditions of multiple conflicts. Not only the conflict adaptation effectoccurred in the same conflict, but also the adaptation effect occurred between twodifferent conflicts. Flanker conflict effect the resolution of Simon conflict, but theSimon conflict do not affect resolution of the Flanker. We conclude following conclusions based on the above experimental results:1.On the condition of integration of the Flanker and Simon conflicts, multipleconflicts are still accord with the conflict monitoring theory. In this study, the effectsof conflict consistency and conflict adaptation effect occurred in all four experiments, which indicating that even in the integration of multiple conflict conditions, it is stillaccord with the conflict monitoring theory.2.Based on the multiple conflict condition between Flanker and Simon, it use aglobal cognitive control mechanisms. In this study, experiments1and2showsadaptation effect, which proved that not only one resolution of conflict have effect onthe conflict, but also another one. Different conflict share the same cognitive controlresources to adjust and control the overall level of conflict regulation..3.When the Flanker and Simon conflict which present simultaneously but notoverlapping information dimensionality, Flanker conflict effect the resolution ofSimon conflict, but Simon conflict does not affect the resolution of the Flankerconflict. In short, the cognitive control system based on the multiple conflicts of Flankerand Simon uses a global cognitive control mechanisms to resolve conflicts, and conflict resolution mechanism in these interactions, a conflict resolution will alsoaffect the resolution of the conflict to another. Flanker conflict effect the resolution ofSimon conflict, but Simon conflict does not affect the resolution of the Flankerconflict.
