Consumption is a way of human life, Happiness is the ultimate goal of mankind. With economic development, wealth and prosperity and demand growth, consumption is becoming an important part of people's social life, and it is also a necessary way towards a happy life, at the same time, the enhancement of happiness can help people consume more reasonably and scientific. However, some people cannot get rid of the dependence of foreign matter into the matter surrounded. The facts indicate that the material consumption is not ideal to bring a happy life, but, human society is trapped into a consumer pleasure and pain mixed situation.For the current plight of consumption and happiness, this paper described the two concepts, and through the analysis and study of the correlation between consumption and happiness, pointed out the contradictions of the key lies in the material consumption and not to bring the same kind of quality happiness, and the causes of the departure are alienation, deterioration in social environment and personal factors. And put forward the recommendations of the valid path of consumption and well-being in harmony, and provide some guidance and reference to the choice of rational consumer behavior and enhance happiness.The first chapter described the basic theory of consumption and happiness, designed to provide theoretical support for the below to explore the relationship.The second chapter mainly discussed the consistency of consumption and happiness, proposed the basic conclusion, that is, consumption is an important way to enhance the happiness and the correct view of happiness helps to guide scientific consumption.The third chapter on the basis of the analysis of the two consistency, further tapped the divergence, from the view of consumption, that is, alienation consumption reversed the means and ends of happiness, resulting in false happiness and deviated from the true meaning of happiness, while from the view of consumption, that is, the alienation happiness lead to abnormal consumption, resulting in the imbalance and injustice, highlighting the outcome of prosperity and consumption of material civilization, there is no simultaneous increase in people's happiness and spiritual needs. And to conduct the root of the problem in-depth, to strive to the sound development of consumption and happiness. The fourth chapter discussed the basic idea of the sound development of consumption and happiness. Sustainable consumption must comply with the basic principles "moderate, harmonious," correctly handle the relationship between consumption and happiness must comply with the three ethical principles "sustainable, equitable, appropriate" as well as coordinate an effective path of them in the context of a harmonious society, that is, creating a good social environment, establishing the correct values and strengthening citizens'awareness of moral responsibility.
