The Study Of The Variation Of The Language Of Chinese Literature In Thailand

The language of Chinese literature in Thailand refers to the language outlook of Thailand Chinese syntactic, vocabulary, semantic, discourse, etc., which is reflected through the written form of Thailand Chinese literature works. Through the linguistics text analysis, this paper uses nearly 70 million words of taehwa literary works as corpora, compares the syntactic and vocabulary characteristics of modern Chinese and digs syntax and vocabulary variation phenomenon of taehwa literature works.Referring to Chinese variation studies in south east Asia, Singapore does more sufficiently in today's academic circles. There are only a few scholars conducting systematic research in vocabulary variation in Thailand. The study of syntactic variation is almost blank and none of scholars pursues detailed and systematical study of Chinese and Thai literature language. This paper attempts to comprehensively and systematically describe syntax and variation phenomenon, and try to combine Thai, the culture, religious, economic, political, education in Thailand, language contact and other factors to give a multi-angle comprehensively explanation of the courses of syntax and vocabulary variation.This paper argues that Thailand mandarin is influenced by the Thai and Thailand culture no matter in the syntax or vocabulary. Syntax mainly reflects in "the omitting auxiliary word——'de'," "resumptive pronouns" and several aspects of the multi-attributive sequence; vocabulary mainly reflects in foreign words, form of address, new words affects by Buddhism culture and so on. Since 95% of Thailand Chinese are Chaozhou-shantou nationals, there are still many existing features of Chaoshan dialect's vocabulary and syntax in the language of Chinese writers' books, such as " classifier's selection and tie-in" "variation of numerals' 2 grammatical functions " in syntax and the use of Chaoshan dialect words in vocabulary. According our study, we believe the language of Chinese literature is a kind of language which is based on modern Chinese common language, not only affected by Thai and Thailand's culture, but also have the feature of Chaoshan dialect. These variation is the inevitable outcome of language contact and language evolution.
