On Guzheng Ideal Sound

According to the important role of timbre reflected in the performance of Chinese zither, my paper paid attentions to methods that how to get the deal timbre on the basis of previous studies. I analyzed the compositions of the timbre of Chinese zither at the aspects of both the basic tone and the variational tone, and described the principal factors on the subjective and objective sides. Under the influence of various factors on the timbre of Chinese zither, I demonstrated the methods of getting the deal timbre in the performance by the ways of the selection of material qualities, the transformation of techniques and the enhancement of musicianship. The findings of my study will have a positive significance for the performance and creation of Chinese zither.
