Xing Shi Yan was a simulated script for story-telling about four hundred years ago which reflected the social reality of the late Ming Dynasty. It was not only rare for researching the simulated scripts for story-telling in Ming and Qing Dynasties, but also very important for the ancient vernacular novels researching in China, thus it has been valued by most scholars since it appeared. In the meantime, most research results are being perfecting for it was found late. This article explores in Xing Shi Yan from the creation of all characters in it and the description in detailed plots. It expounds the purpose of the script and the choices in theme from the contrast to the similar works San Yan or Er Pai. It researches the contradictory relation between feudatories ethics and individual morality, discovers the tyrannizing and constraint from the feudatory ethics at the literary standard, eventually analyses the dialectic relations in human and society, subject and object presented in Xin Shi Yan at the political science and philosophy standard.
