Achievement Eternity In The Dreamland -Reaserch Of Epic Singers Of 《The Life Of King Gesar》

In the history of epic research, experts and scholars emphasize on the epic's ideology, history, literature and aesthetics taking the written text of epic all the time. However, the epic singer as the epic performer did not receive deserved attention. They were buried history and became the recorder and living fossil.On the basis of the previous research results and personal fieldwork, the paper focuses on the epic singers themselves. As learning from the important results of the story-teller and epic singer of the acaclemia research, the paper discusses the epic singers'status in history, cultural connotation, social function and protective measures and so on. Based on the discussion, the writer thinks: the singers of the life of king gesar are the cultural factor which is grown in the national culture. No matter how mystery and confused they are, they still attain the recognition in the process of history memory and telling tradition. The prototype of the epic singer is King Gesar himself. Moreover, historical experts consider him as typical Kalisima character who is the princes in the Clan Period and Saman at the mean time because he had all the characteristics as an epic singer. On the writer's opinion, the epic singer acts as hero, besides it, they take the extraordinary scarifying behavior of Saman as the acting mode. The epic singer's narratives about life history belong to myth in the folk stories. Their myths are situational which means it is changing as the participants and situations. People should focus on the variability because it is the key point to understand the inner change of epic singer. This paper will classify the performance type of epic singers into three types: single singer's performance of epic, two singers'performance of epic and group performance of epic. As to the protection of the life of king gesar, the government should do the dynamic protection and take the social organization as the main power; at the mean time, the government should support them on the law and tax etc. Basing on this protection mode, the government should promote the controllable development in order to form a kind of new mode-developing while protecting.This paper contains four chapters,introduction, text over theory, bibliography and appendix; and constitutes of 83 thousands words.
