Research on anger has lagged behind other aversive emotions such as anxiety and depression. Anger is called "forgotten emotion". Intend to provide some evidence from the most original experience, we chose "Study on maternal anger by early adolescence offspring and its problems" as its theme. It would beneficially regulate the maternal emotions of early adolescence offspring and therefore facilitate foreign and domestic researchers to pay closely attention to anger and its problems.The current study concentrated on two aspects of the issue.One, the events of maternal anger by early adolescence offspring was investigated. We analyzed by statistical data through exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, indicators of reliabilities analysis and difference test, topics of the events contained seven dimensions, they were study, relationship with their parents, woke, hygiene, money spending, friends and appearance. We analyzed and concluded the content materials through content analysis method. The first four anger eliciting events as reported by the mothers were study, play, work, relationship with their parents.Another, we explored maternal cognition of anger eliciting events by early adolescence offspring. This part compiled a half-structured questionnaire for mothers by early adolescence offspring and analyzed by content materials through content analysis method. The results showed that:irrational cognition and rational cognition were contained with maternal cognition of anger eliciting events by early adolescence offspring. Six types of irrational cognition have been emphasized on anger:demandingness, maternal expectation, inflammatory labeling, overgeneralizing, discounting the positive attribution, catastrophic evaluation; Three types of rational cognition were self-examination, adaptive thought, coping thought. In face of anger eliciting events, mothers should hold the correct cognitive pattern. The particular event was analyzed by using dialectical, comprehensive and objective thinking pattern, and shouldn't make judgments according to subjective experience. Refer to process of making positive assumption while considering the possibility of negative interpretations, instead of owning other exaggerated appraisal.
