The Research On The Relationship Between Anger And Anger Rumination, Social Support

Objective:(1)To investigate the prevalence of anger and anger rumination in college students;(2)To explore the relationship between anger and anger rumination, social support and to test the mediator effect of social support.Method:STAXI-II, Anger rumination scale and social support rating scale were used in725college students. T-test, one-way ANOVA were introduced to analyze the prevalence of anger and anger rumination in college students. Pearson correlation analysis, Linear regressions were used to analyze the relationship between anger and anger rumination, social support and the mediator effect of social support.Results:(1) Boys anger expression and control score is significantly higher than girls (t=3.368, P=0.001); Anger expression and control score in the only child is significantly higher than non only child (t=2.791, P=0.005); The higher education of the parents, the anger expression and control in college students higher.(2) Boys anger rumination score is significantly higher than girls (t=2.459, P=0.014); the revenge thoughts score in the only child is significantly higher than non only child (t=2.035, P=0.042); the anger rumination score in divorce family is significantly higher than others.(3) There is significant positive correlation between anger and anger rumination, r=0.096～0.477(P<0.01); There is significant negative correlation between anger and social support, r=-0.065～-0.210(P<0.05); There is significant negative correlation between anger rumination and social support, r=-0.133～-0.230(P<0.01);(4) anger rumination, utilization degree of support, angry afterthoughts have significant regression effect on anger;(5) social support has not significant mediator effect.Conclusion:(1)There is obvious anger expression and control in boys who are the only child and have higher education parents;(2)There is obvious anger rumination in boys who are the only child and have divorce family;(3) There is closely relationship between anger and anger rumination, social support. The higher social support, the lower anger rumination and anger.(4) social support has not significant mediator effect between anger and anger rumination.
