Depression usually presents a long-lasting depressed mood state, and accompanied by memory loss, thinking difficulties, loneliness, pessimism, self-blame and other physical discomfort, being considered a "psychological cold" by psychologist. It indicates the characteristics of high, universal, treatable and relapses, but this "psychological cold" does not mean simple. On the contrary, many research shows that depression is apt to cause suicide. The depression in the suicide of the population accounts for a large proportion of patients. According to the relevant domestic research, people committed suicide in 50% to 80% of people with depression,33.4 times higher than the general population. In China's related survey, currently college students 10%-20%of the students have different levels of depressive symptoms suppression. In recent years, college student's suicide due to depression rises, so the research is extremely necessary and urgent. The depressive status of Art Students is more severe; such a group has the general characteristics of college students, but also has some professional and special characteristics, and article group also continues to expand. However, our study of the students did not appear for such a high incidence of depression. Based on the Shanghai Fine Arts student's depression status, the author researched and analyzed the factors leading to symptoms of depression through the questionnaires and statistical methods, and implemented some effective cognitive-behavioral intervention therapy, to further improve mental health of Shanghai's art college students, for our students the art of depression research provide some reference.(1)370 students of art from Shanghai universities and colleges have depressive symptoms tendency, with an incidence of 39.8%, depression degree is higher;(2)View of art students from Shanghai universities which have symptoms of depression score distribution of socio-demographic characteristics, different gender, different grades and different schools, cities and rural areas, different economic status and child-child and non-depressive tendency among students to evaluate the F-value test SDS no statistically significant differences. (3) Subjective support, objective support, utilization of support, interpersonal events, study of stressful events can reduce the incidence of depression, but home addresses and health-related events have increased the risk of depressive symptoms.(4) The major factor of depressive symptoms caused in art students of colleges and universities are the special nature of the professional, learning of investment and expand enrollment in recent years, the factors of depressive symptoms are relationships conflict, health factors and social support.(5) The results from the research of 20 students from Shanghai College of Design (China Academy of Art) shows:different between before the experiment and after the experiment is large, but the different between after the experiment and the third experiment is not significantly, it is good to improve the depression, so worth to promote.
