Speaking, The Room: The Text Interpretation

This paper selects three rhetorical elements of "speaking, room"-title symbols, space symbols, character symbols and rhetoric carrier which is known as the subjects of words. Each of them has a rhetorical connotation: In the title symbols "the room" is a rhetoric prototype having a female self-image, the entire title symbols has transmitted rhetoric information of "the passivity" and "closeness"; space symbol selected three marks connected to heroine's activity space:home, South Africa, dilapidated house of ChiWei village which become rhetorical illusion of "cage", "free", "fate which reaches the same goal or conclusion from different approaches; character symbols show rhetorical layout of "self" and "other", character symbols of self-Duo Mi and other-Nan Hong is rhetoric and self-Duo Mi and other-Nan Hong constitute a mirror rhetoric relations; the novel carries on the redistribution to the words which is carrier of these three groups of rhetoric element, the female masters words power and the male are in "the aphasia" which reflect strategies of the expression used in the novel and valuable reconstruction of rhetorical discourse, In a word, taken three group of rhetoric elements as the "spot" and taken word expression as the "surface", and then build the performance of modern woman's life situation as the "body", so that the text forms a three-dimensional aesthetic relationship.
