Lin Zhang's Works Research

Lin Zhang, the famous literati of Fujian in later Ming Dynasty. In this paper, his two dramas, Watching Lantern, Young Dragon and his poems Lin Chuwen's Poems would be the objects of study. The research in the paper will combines the unique era, region with the special school of which Lin belongs to. Meanwhile, it also properly merits the reference of the theory in Western Drama. On the base of literature interior rules then integrates its exterior rules, this paper will focus on probing the value and meaning in history as well as in literature research of Lin's poems and dramas. In Charter One:Lin Zhang's life and work, will summarize his tough and bumpy life and tidy up how his works been block-printed and spread. In Charter Two:Rich and Varied Poems and Essays, will research and analysis the ideological content and artistic form for Lin's works then its major idea is that Lin's poems have various themes with profound and vigorous style and form, which seems like classic Tang-style. In Charter Three:The Unique Drama, regards that Lin's two kinds of drama lack of noumenal features but have vivid social customs. There are a large amount of folk songs with many features of ancient legends. Therefore, the two dramas are really worth researching for their unique historical and cultural values.
