The Literary View Of Can Xue

Can Xue is a writer with the extraordinary character in the contemporary age. Her novels have obtained plentiful research achievement over the years. However, she considered that there were some defects in the critics of her novels. In the late of 1990s, Can Xue created a series of literary notes, to explain her composition purpose and mark her view of art by the way of interpreting other literary masters. So far, there has been little systemic research on Can Xue's literary views. In order to fill the blank, this article tries to stand on Can Xue's personality, combine with the uniqueness of the Wuchu culture and analyze her reading experience. Besides, the author will study her novels and literary notes, as well as the fruition of the academic circles in order to explicate Can Xue's literary view comprehensively. This article includes four parts as following:Introduction:This part shows the present state concerning Can Xue, and puts forward the issues to be solved.Chapter 1:This chapter states the formation background of Can Xue's literary view. It mainly includes three parts:Can Xue's personality, the character of Wuchu culture and western literature influence.Chapter 2:Literature is the art of human nature. Can Xue believes that art is the expression of one's mind, instead of the imitation of the reality. However, our traditional literature lacks this kind of art, so we must create a "new experimental literature". Besides, she thinks that art has the function of redemption and art composition can enhance one's nobility. Chapter 3:Composition is the exploration of soul. Can Xue believes that literary composition is a game of approaching the light. It requires spiritual retrospect and gainsayer, pursuing and scrutiny. Thus, literary composition in this process is irrational, which has abandoned ration and truly become an "automatic writing" state. So, "ugliness" at the moment has turned to another kind of "beauty".
