On Wallerstein Liberal Critical Theory

As a commissary of the new left-wing Marxism, Immanuel Wallerstein analyzed the world system from the history macroscopical point based on the affection of Marxism theory and Attachment theory. He carried out the omnidirectional study on the world system from the aspects of the economy, polity and culture. In this paper, on the basis of the liberalistic Critical theory studied by Immanuel Wallerstein, we analyze the meaning of the Wallerstein animadverting on Liberalism, and the differences of the Liberalism, Socialism and Conservatism. From the study, it also indicates that the essence of Liberalism is a kind of capitalistic culture which is the magistral ideology of the west society. Wallerstein animadverted on the presentation of Liberalism about"Every one's egality","Universalism"and"Finial victory of Liberalism". He considered those points as a kind of ideology for confining the resistance of the third world people and maintaining the existing capitalistic world system. Simultaneity, he focused on analyzing the third world countries how to deal with the problems in the modernization construction, especially with the dilemma of itself cultural development in construction process. Wallerstein considered that as a third world country must get rid of the existing world system and establish the new fair, just and rational world system, if it wanted to seek its genuine development. Research on the Immanuel Wallerstein liberalistic Critical theory, it is a great significance for reference to make the profound understanding on the contemporary value and significance of Marxism and Socialism and to make the right social development strategy.
