Therefore, how he or she plays a leading role may have a certain influence on translation activities. In non-literary translation, how a translator play his or her multiple roles may directly related to the translation quality.This paper tries to take translation tasks and assignments for examples to analyze a translator's multiple roles in non-literary translation from three aspects. A translation will be of higher quality if it is done by consideration of each role in process.The importance of translator's multiple roles is explained based on reader-centered principle and exchange function of translation. Examples are given to analyze the difference between literary translation and non-literary translation principles.Finally, the paper puts forward that a translator must keep pace with the time.
