Shuangqing He, born in a farmer family in Danyang , Jiangsu in 1715, was a countrywoman with excellent literary talent, who died in her early days. In 1733, she married Zhou, a tenant farmer in Xiaoshan, Jintan. There is no record that when she died. According to the Xi Qing San Ji (written by Zhenglin Shi), she passed away about in her twenty-two years old, 1737. Several years after she married, she came across Zhenglin Shi during an outing, who appreciated and revered both her literary talent and moral character. Later, Shi worte the Xi Qing San Ji on the basis of her life work, which was the prelude to the the love with Shuangqing He, lasting two hunred years.
