Research On Word Family Of "Tian" In Chinese

This thesis takes the "tian" word family as research objects.In the way of exhaustive collection,the thesis collect all the words including in the word family.By adopting research methods such as quota statistics and quantative analysis ,this thesis first analysis word family of "tian",and development of their meanings.Then take a further analysis of word structure of "tian" word family; Finally do a classification of "tian" word family for their general semantic categories. At last, do a further analysis of their cognitive patterns and culture significance.This study is of great help to grasp the whole "tian" word family in category. Meanwhile, on the one hand, this thesis extends the scope of "word family" study. The introduction of "word unit" concept brings the folk adage into this study area. On the other hand, the thesis also broke the traditional semantic category classification based only on rational sense. The additional significance is also included in the analysis which is vital for comprehensive multi-angle analysis of word family.
