The Application Of Multimedia Technology In The Process Of Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

This paper discusses the practical application problems of the multimedia technology in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. And it also discusses the promblems of which multimedia technology and how it is used in the process of Chinese language teaching and culture teaching.With the background environment of Chinese teaching in Thailand, according to the experience of several volunteers'and mine ,the paper compares the tranditional teaching method with the multimedia teaching on the pronunciation, Chinese characters, words, text , culture teaching , examination and so on.We therefore found that multimedia teaching can fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of students,which demonstrates the need for multimedia teaching.In this paper, we use the constructivist theory, information technology theory, and theory of second language teaching as the basic theory to talk about the teachers how to use multimedia technology to assist students in making them initiative in Chinese learning.And also,how to use multimedia technology to create an authentic Chinese language environment to make students change from language learning to Language Acquisition .In the process of data collection,I found that the most of the current domestic acdemics research about multimedia teaching of foreign language focus on the advantages and disadvantages of it, and whether this new technology teaching methods will replace the traditional one. But the specific applications of multimedia teaching such as voice, vocabulary teaching are not discussed . This article provides the real-life examples to discuss the problems encountered in teaching Chinese and how to use multimedia to solve them,and I hope to provide some help to the other foreign language teaching researchers.
