This thesis studies the meaning and essence of nirvana (the concept of Buddhist) and aesthetic (the core concepts of literature). Based on the study, it makes a comparison and elucidating with them, so as to achieve more profound grasp. This is beneficial to us in understanding literature and Buddhism, the core of art and religion. Nirvana is the core concept of Buddhism, the fundamental purpose of Buddhism is pursuing moksha, namely detached troubles, reach nirvana border. Buddhism pursuit consciousness which means awake in comprehending of "empty".Compared with nirvana in Buddhism, aesthetic, the core concept of literature (arts) have the same importance, through the research, we can understand the essence of literature (art), achieved to a profound comprehension of the essence of literature (art). Art in Heidegger's work means"the happening of truth", artistic create world, let truth came to the fore. And Beauty is one way in which truth occurs as unconcealedness.Based on the analysis above, I think the aesthetics and nirvana all pertain to a person's transcendence and liberation. Through the comparison, this paper interlinked Buddha and aesthetic in the deep meaning, conduce to understanding of religion and art.
