This paper is aim to explain the urban culture's development of Shanghai and Hongkong, which reflected in two different periods of writers' creative theme, Zhang Ailing and Wang Anyi. In addition, there are feminism, semiotics, culture studies, literary theory and other research methods in this paper, explaining urban culture of Shanghai and Hongkong, and the association between the creations of two writers.The urban is an advanced form of city development. Achievements of modern civilization, it replaced the traditional agricultural civilization, providing rich material and multiple choices. Mid-20th century, urban culture brought a new path to Hongkong. In the context globalization, Shanghai also amazing reformed her urban culture. Zhang Ailing and Wang Anyi, mentioned in this paper, played core roles in the history of the urban culture.From intertextuality research, the author tried to combine hardware and software of urban culture of Shanghai and Hongkong, and to reconstruct a "Shanghai - Hongkong" culture map. When the city's variety of modern facilities and the media are incorporated into the vision of the study, we found that the urban and urban culture are not only a relationship between the "economic base determines the superstructure, the superstructure on the economic base reaction," but urban and urban culture also have a complex intertextual relations.
