The academic achievement is still an important criterion to measure the learning quality and ability discretion in the existing education system. Especially for the milldle school students,their academic achievements have always been the common focus of parents, school,and even our society. How to make the students get high academic achievements has always been an important research topic of Educational Psychology. In examining the family the external factors,the research mainly focuses on parenting style,but my paper will take famliy as a system namely family functioning. At the same time, the academic self-efficacy ,the internal factors will put into to explore the influence of academic achievement .Besides ,about the middle school students in the rural ,the related research is relatively weak. Therefore,the research aims at understanding how famliy functioning ,academic self-efficacy influence middle school students,achievements in rual and their interaction mechanism.My study uses a questionnaire survey method. We collected 480 middle school students,using statistical difference in testing,correlation analysis and structural equation models methods, discussed the relationship among the three.The results are as follows:1. Nowadays,the middle school students'family functioning are overall healthy. There is a significant gender difference in middle school students'family functioning,and schoolboys are inferiorer than schoolgirls in Communication , Affective Involvement and General Functioning,but there is no significant differerence in the gade.2. The development level of the middle school students'academic self-efficacy is overall higer,and the grade differrnce in the academic self-efficacy is significant, high school students are significantly higher than junior middle school various grades,but the gender difference is not significant.3. The middle school students'family functioning has a significant negative correlation with academic achievement and has a significant negative correlation with academic self-efficacy in the rural4. The academic self-efficacy significantly forecast academic achievement in a positive way.The higher is the academic self-efficacy, the higher is the academic achievement5. The family functioning indirectly influence academic achievements through academic self-efficacy, The academic self-effieacy is a whole mediator in this model.By exploring the relationship of family functioning, academic self-efficacy and academic achievement among middle school students in the rural, the research understands the characteristics of their family functioning and academic self-efficacy, and the infiuence on academic achievement .The conclusion of the research can provide certain theoretical support and help for the family education and school education,the study shall have practical significance.
