Modern Chinese "a, Ab" Format,

This paper, starting from the state who can enter into the structure "A里AB" will have state changes, so will the structure main member named state adjectives, state onomatopoeia. Basing on the adequate description and explanation of the structure "A里AB" in modern Chinese, this thesis has conducted systematic research on the different aspects of this structure such as the definition, the origin, the structural features, the syntactic functions, the pragmatic as well as the semantic aspects. Besides, comparisons among various aspects have been made to probe into the intralingual and extralingual causes of the disparities existing among various formats of this structure.This thesis consists of six chapters besides the conclusion part:The first chapter is the preface which mainly covers the research purpose, significance, the research status quo, the research methodology and the research scale. In addition, research background has been described including the disparity of research scale and register distribution, the imbalance of research on the adjective overlapping structure,the uncertainty of conformational overlapping or morphological overlapping, the dullness of research methodology and theory and this research is beneficial to the writing of referential books and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The second chapter deals with the nature, definition and the nature of"里"which have been analyzed and described in detail. The third chapter has categorized this structure in terms of its external features and part of speech and has explained it from the perspective of semantic, voice.The forth and fifth chapter is the body parts of this thesis. The forth chapter has done research on the state adjective and the state onomatopoeia from the angle of syntactic functions and pragmatic features. From the aspect of semantics, the fifth chapter has made the following two conclusion:firstly, the state adjective of the structure "A里AB" has the feature of state, not abhor state, evaluation, personality, degree, context (contrast, rhetoric), person-description and thing-description; Secondly, the onomatopoeia has the feature of rhetoric, imitation and rich colors.The last chapter is the comparison of different "A里AB" structures from three perspectives such as similar form, ancient Chinese and dialects.
