Study Of Serial-verb Compound Words And Telescopic Compound Words In Modern Chinese

It has a long time that compound words of modern Chinese have been studied.Subject-predicate,verb-object,modifier-head,coordinate and supplementary compound words are common categories, and researches on these five categories of compound words are sufficient and comprehensive. In contrast, serial-verb and telescopic compoundwords are somewhat strange to us, so the attention and researches are far from enough.Taking these two types of compound words as objects of the research, connecting the word principle and the structural relation, the morphology contacts with the syntax, comparing similar structure type compound, combining certain theories, we review serial-verb and telescopic compound words from several aspects. Accordingly, we will deepen the knowledge of the two kinds of compound words.First, we carry on the research on serial-verb and telescopic compound words and explain that the theory is insufficient.We also point out the research on serial-verb and telescopic compound words are important and significient to our country glossary study development. Then combining predecessor's research results,we propose explicitly that the existence of serial-verb and telescopic compound words is universal and cannot been neglected. Latter ,we obtaine the serial-verb type compound either the telescopic come from its corresponding phrase or the sentence through psychology principle and the example unionNext, we probe into the difference between serial-verb, telescopic compound words and other kinds of compound words, the difference between serial-verb compound words and telescopic compound words. We can discriminate these two kinds of compound words between other kinds from several aspects, such as logical relations between morphemes, transitivity of morphemes, subjects and objects of the actions which are expressed by morphemes. Both serial-verb compound words and telescopic compound words have their own characteristics.The most prominent characteristic of serial-verb compound words is that the actions expressed by morphemes have precedence relationship in time, in turn, the most prominent characteristic of telescopic compound words is that we can insert noun or pronoun into their two morphemes to comprehend the words.Based on this, we inquire into characteristics of serial-verb compound words and telescopic compound words. To the serial-verb compound words ,we accept the theory of Mr.Zhang Bin's the serial-verb classified standard and divide into the contract the serial-verb compound,the movement and the sense of purpose, the way and the movement and complementarity and so on four kind of serial-verb compound. In turn, we look the relation Shi Shou of N1 between V2 as the classified standard and divide into N1 and V2 of the telescopicform compound which does not exist executes is related, N1 and V2 of telescopicform compounds which is the agent relations , N1 and V2 of telescopic form compounds which is the object relations and so on.Last,we make the simple summary to this paper research and point out this paper's existence insufficiency, simultaneously provid some feasible suggestion to the compound future research.
