In Chinese conventional ethic thought history, Wang Chong is a philosopher who would be a little dispute. In Wang Chong's theory, the content not only has an advance aspect, but also has some contradicts, and it has vivid controversy element and critical spirit throughout the whole part. For these reasons, descendants'criticize on Wang Chong to be polarization. The forefather's argument is focus on Wang Chong's tendency and the level of his scientific attainments. One of the conclusions is that Wang Chong's theory is full of contradictions and obvious controversy features. So, made an arbitrary decision that Wang Chong's theory is order to show off his talent is none of scientific sense. This statement make Wang Chong's theory become vanished, therefore people decide to research it again.At the surrounding of polarization, this paper researched on Wang Chong's wisdom of Life and Death. Try to reduce the truth of the wisdom of Life and Death, detect the reasonable part and practical significance of the wisdom of Life and Death. This paper has divided to three parts:Part one discussed the idea of natural life in Wang Chong's "Lun Heng"; He thinks that human's life is included in its thick or thin air. Human's life is not decided by God. On the basic of idea of natural life, Wang Chong critical the phenomenon of take medicine to reach heaven.Part two is discussed Wang Chong's idea of holism of body and spirit and atheism. He discuss the doctrine of form and spirit on the basis of the gaseous fluid theory, and he doubt and criticized the legend of ghost. It is the most contradict and controversial part, the paper analyzed the thought contradiction and try to find out the resource of atheism at the same time. And try to find out the actuality significance of theism. Part three discussed Wang Chong's idea about pay attention to life and treats the death reasonable. He criticized long funeral houzang in Han dynasty. And he supports the flimsy burying ideas that achieve the purpose of flimsy burying and spare. At the same time, Wang Chong criticized the death ceremony which popular in that time. He deeply analyzed and in question the divination, offer sacrifices to gods or ancestors and taboo superstition. Wang Chong thinks that death is natural process if life, excessive to pursue the comforts after death is sounds ridiculous.
