Research On The Resiliency Of Freshmen And Its Effect On The Memory Bias

Resiliency is such a psychology characteristic that one adapts positively well under adverse or dangerous circumstances. Resiliency has a significant theoretical and practical significance to the freshers'mental health. Firstly, by adopting Adult Resiliency Scale, the 159 refresh students participated the reseach as subjects. It is intended to examine the general situation of freshers'resiliency. Then, electing individuals of the high resiliency and individuals of the low resilency to conduct an empirical study on memory bias.The findings are presented as follows:﹙1﹚The resilience existed significant differences in the aspects of certain Demographic Variables;﹙2﹚Individuals of high resilience group and low resilience group had a significant differences in all the aspects of resiliency. It showed that individuals'of high resilience group have significant higher than individuals'of low resilience group;﹙3﹚Individuals of high resilience group and low resilience group had not a significant differences in memory bias, But from the average of error rate, with the high resilient group, the error rate of positive emotion words litter lower than the error rate of negative emotion words and neuter emotion words, It reflected recognizion of the result in a positive emotion words that was better than in the negative emotions words'and neuter emotion words', It showed a more clear memory bias effect. and with the low resilient group, the error rate of negative emotion words litter lower than the error rate of positive emotion words and neuter emotion words; It reflected recognizion of the result in a negative emotion words that was better than in the positive emotions words'and neuter emotion words', It showed a more clear memory bias effect;﹙4﹚Individuals of high resilience group and low resilience group whatever they processed positive emotion words, negative emotion words or neuter emotion words, the boys'error rate have higher than the girls', and when they processed negative emotion word, the existed significant differences between boys and girls, however when they processed positive emotion words and neuter emotion words, the didn't exit significant differences.
