Richter uses detailed pictures to evaluate reality, he probes into various subjects of painting——character,still life,landscape,portrait etc., which are of the same importance in his eyes.Richter believes that the way and content expressed by photographs are the source of his thought. Compared with painting, he thinks photography contained more philosophy significance. Richter tries to avoid the stylize as well as the illusion in painting by means of photo painting, he prefers everything without styles.The fuzzy image is the label of Richter's works. He actually think deep inside the various fuzzy result used in his paintings.The biggest feature of Richter in his drawings is the idea of fuzziness and aesthetics. The fuzzy method is the biggest style of his painting. The fuzziness aesthetics in his drawings have several features:First is the fuzzy processing for the picture border; secondly, the form of the pictures priors to the concept, avoiding the narrative features of pictures; the third is stressing the particularity of gray and light used in his works;the fourth is not persuing objectivity,systematicity and orientation, no plan and no style.The paintings of Richter belongs to "image painting" which emphasize images first. Images, especially photographic images are the scenes themselves. It can be obtained to conceal the direct purpose of expression in drawings through photographic images, calm and objective reproduction of photographs.
