The modern Japanese writer Yasunari Kawabata became famous for "Evocation offering a King" in 1921. Then he won Noble Prize of literature with three works "Snow Country" "ancient" "Thousand Cranes ", and was known as the master of Japanese literature. The modern Chinese writer Congwen Shen got his creative source from the life and army experience of the Southwest minorities, wrote many works that described the minorities. His works were very important in Chinese literature and many people still like them now.Reading both of their works, we find out that both of them got influence of oriental culture, create a survival pattern in human and nature. They all agree with the relationship between human and nature. All of their works reflect the special society style in the period of changing epoch, they match the concept of ecological aesthetics. While, Congwen Shen and Yasunari Kawabata lived in different country, they have different life experience, and culture concept. So there are a lot of differences in both of their works. This paper compares with works of Congwen Shen and Yasunari Kawabata, according to modern ecological aesthetics and ecological trichotomy of Shuyuan Lu. I also use methods of comparative literature, from the natural ecology, social ecology, spiritual ecology to compare with their works. The first part is to compare with their works from ecological perspective. The second part is from social ecological perspective. The third part is from spiritual ecology.Until now, Chinese and Japanese scholars research on these two writers in their respective perspective. But it is less in ecological perspective. This paper has a research on these two writers from ecological perspective. I try to reveal the shape of modern Chinese society and Japanese society, the common and difference in spiritual ecology. The purpose of my paper is that more and more people could pay attention to the research method of ecology aesthetics, and then make more progress on comparison of Chinese and Japanese Literature.
