The Poetry Road Of Tang Dynasty

The literary creations along the North-south Great Canal are rich and colorful. Taking the poetry creations along the canal as the research object, the literature analyzed the canal natural and humanistic style based on the poetry creations along the canal ranged from Early Tang Dynasty to the 13th year of Tang Xuanzong, and understood the development of the canal and the society situation by means of the vision of the poets. And then we studied the relationship between the canal and the poets along the canal, while investigated how the canal culture affected the poets lived along it which fully showed the colorful human culture. The construction of the Great Canal has an in-depth effect on the politics, economics, culture and social development. In the Sui and Tang Dynasty, the culture of the canal had been very prosperous, especially the development of the poetry, which made the canal as the flourishing place of the poems.In this literature, we will discuss the relationship between the poetries created along the canal and the development of the Great Canal in Tang Dynasty through different ways.First, we defined "the Poetry Road of Tang Dynasty". In this chapter we gave a clear train of thought of the Great Canal based on a brief summarization of the excavation in Sui Dynasty and the dredging and governance of the Great Canal in Tang Dynasty, and then, with this clear thought, we analyzed and appreciated the poems which described the features and the urban'conditions along the canal in Tang Dynasty by poets. The poems made the canal as a flourishing poetic line of Tang Dynasty, which demonstrated that the Great Canal is the worthy of the name of the Poetry Road of Tang Dynasty.Second, the canal culture included the canal as an traffic main artery to link the northward and southward, the riverside granaries, inns, and bridges, all of which were the key factors for the formation of the Poetry Road of Tang Dynasty. In this chapter, we summarized the effects of the canal culture on the formation of the Poetry Road of Tang Dynasty through the analysis of the canal culture by poems created by poets in Tang Dynasty.Third, some canal cities were generated due to the economic development, which was promoted by the water transport of the Great Canal. The poets recorded the rise of the towns and the development of the commerce and agriculture along the canal, all of which had some characteristics in common. In this part, we discussed the relationship of the economics of the canal and the formation of the Poetry Road of Tang Dynasty through the studies of the development of towns, the activities and creations of the poets in the canal region.Forth, the building of the Great Canal not only droved the growth of the Sino-foreign economics and the cultural development, but also contributed to the communications of the north-south culture, even the international culture, which make the culture of the Tang Dynasty more and more abundant. Through the research of the historical allusions, folk customs and the creation at the given time and place, we summarized the effect of the canal culture on the formation of the Poetry Road of Tang Dynasty.Last, we gave the conclusion of this literature. The Tang Dynasty poets with its substantial poetry creation, given the Great Canal the rich culture life. The formation of this the cultural lines of the Great Canal, began in The Spring and Autumn Period, appeared in Sui Dynasty, achievements in the Tang Dynasty.
