Tang dynasty is the Golden Age of Chinese poetry's development, thus poetries written in this period have everlasting charm. Research on poetries written in Tang dynasty has always been a famous school in the classic-literature researching field. It started from the Tang dynasty, in which there appeared the independent academic learning - "the Tang-Poetry-Research". If Tang dynasty can be regarded as the starting period of Tang-Poetry academic researching history, then Song dynasty should be regarded as its forming period, because the researching upsurge on poetries written in Tang dynasty came in this period.After the foundation of PRC, many scholars have researched in this field and have got many achievements, however, it seems that Song's people's comments on poetries written in Tang dynasty hasn't been paid enough attention. There haven't been enough collecting, neatening and classifying works on the basic data being done, and there hasn't appeared any comprehensive data collection on Tang-Poetry-Research history. There haven't appeared many theses written on Tang-Poetry-Research self-consciously and definitely, and there haven't been many scholars and researching productions having the "historical" concept systematically and comprehensively though "the Tang-Poetry-Research" has long been an independent study. To be short, the research on Song's people's comments on poetries written in Tang dynasty, which is still in the sketchy starting period, hasn't been researchedHerein the author decided her thesis topic under her tutor professor Chen Fei's guidance. The topic is Research on Northern Song's People's Comments on Poetries written in Tang Dynasty. This topic is a part of professor Chen Fei's research conceiving system - "Research on Academic History of Literature in Tang Dynasty". It aims to research on the development of Tang-Poetry-Research self-consciously from the angle of academic history research. It also aims to try to restitute Song's people's comments on poetries written in Tang dynasty, so as to open out the historical status of Northern Song period in the Tang-Poetry-Research history. By neatening the historical data of Northern Song period widely, carefully and seriously, the author tries her best to realize Northern Song's people's knowledge of poetries written in Tang dynasty, to reappear the real face of that period, and to see the historical literary phenomenon without using modern concept, realization and standard.Northern Song's people didn't research poetries written in Tang dynasty in the sameways, whereas their comments mostly exist in kinds of literary works. Thus the author collected the data from kinds of classic literary documents, such as "All the Poetries Written in Song Dynasty ", "All the Proses Written in Song Dynasty ", "New History of the Tang Dynasty", "Ce Fu Yuan Gui", "Tai Ping Guang Ji", "Taiping Imperial Encyclopedia " and kinds of noting stories, notes on poets and poetries, poetry rules, etc., which includes more than four hundred thousand words.Based on these data, the author started her research from neatening them, discussing the poetry rules and analyzing the general situation of Tang-Poetry-Research in Song Dynasty (Northern Song period). Then the author discussed Northern Song's people's real attitude towards poetries written in Tang dynasty by giving examples of their comments on Du Fu, Li Bai, Han Yu, Liu Zongyuan and Bai Juyi, etc., who received more attention at that time, so as to try to "restitute" the real state of poetries written in Tang dynasty in Northern Song period. By the end, the author raised some thoughts on the foundation of Tang-Poetry-Research in Song dynasty and the whole Tang-Poetry-Research developing system.
