The adolescent period is critical in the development of one's whole life. Apart from parent and peer relationship, romantic relationship is also an important part of adolescent relationship network. And the emotional support the adolescent partner provides is important to the adolescent healthy development.Based on the review of the literature, the operation definition of Adolescent Romantic Relationship was defined as mutually acknowledged on-going interactions, mutually emotional beneficial, including sex attraction between different gender. It concludes communication, trust, intimacy and passion, and the proportion and degree of the four components are different both in the phases of adolescent period and in the development process of romantic relationship. This paper mainly has two parts. Firstly, according to the structured interview and related items of foreign similar questionnaires, the preliminary questionnaire of Adolescent Romantic Relationship was developed. Then, formal Adolescent Romantic Relationship questionnaire with 29 items was finally confirmed based on item analysis. And the statistical analysis results indicated that the questionnaire was reliable and validity by means of reliability analysis and Confirmatory Factor analysis. Secondly, this self-developed questionnaire and EMBU were used to investigate 924 adolescents. And we got the following conclusions:1. Adolescent Romantic Relationship was a multi-dimensional psychological structure including communication, trust, intimacy and passion.2. Adolescent Romantic Relationship questionnaire had significant reliability and validity based on the theoretical hypothesis, and could be used as a tool of adolescent romantic relationship.3. The current situation and development characteristic are as the following: adolescent romantic relationship fluctuates in middle school, senior middle school and freshman year. There were significant difference between students in grade three of middle school and grade one of senior high school, between students in grade three of middle school and freshman year, between students in grade one and grade three of senior middle school, between students in grade three of senior middle school and freshman year. There was significant difference between students being an only child and being not an only child in the score of adolescent romantic relationship questionnaire. But there was no significant difference between students in urban and rural, nor in sex both in the total scores and in the four dimensions of adolescent romantic relationship.4. By Correlation and Regression analysis, we found parenting styles was one of the factors which affect adolescent romantic relationship, and different parenting styles had different effects on adolescent romantic relationship. Those students who grew up in the father parenting style characterized in warmth, understanding and acceptance, had a high quality romantic relationship. And those students who grew up in the mother parenting style characterized in warmth, understanding, acceptance and lenience, had a high quality romantic relationship. The warmth and understanding of father had predictive value on adolescent romantic relationship and its dimensions. Compared to mother parenting style, father parenting style had more positive effect on adolescent romantic relationship.
