This thesis will discuss Mo Yan' narrative art from four aspects that is Mo Yan's folk telling the story of the legendary magical carnival Sad, the language of tastes, a wide range of perspective and the structure of montage. The question solved is what story Mo Yan tells, what language uses, what a story perspective, how to structure the story of Mo Yan.Firstly, the paper discusses the content from the story of Mo Yan's carnival spirit and sense of tragedy, magic realism and folk legend. Mo Yan tells the story using the language of tastes that can be appreciated by the ordinary and excellent people and because he is from the people, so the people speaking, idioms and folk arts are very familiar with rap, and because of the love of literature and to be educated so that Mo Yan has excellent language skills. Mo Yan does not want to tell a story well-organized, paying attention to free changes in perspective about the story, narrative perspective in the first person, second person and third-person as needed and Mo Yan appearance in the novel itself, making Mo Yan himself a narrative perspective. Finally, the paper discusses the structure of Mo Yan's novel. The structure of Mo Yan's story fits with the theory of film montage and the novel's structure makes characters described by Mo Yan shuttle freely between past and present, thereby creating a unique time and space, while the montage structure of the novel can adjust the narrative rhythm, and then impact on the reader's psychology and emotional.
