The Discourse Analysis Of Assumption Multiple-Type Of If Sentence

The research of the paper is about the discourse analysis of "if" sentence. First it explains the meaning of proposition, and has introduces about the research significance, the present situation of the research, the methods and the construction of the research. Then it observes the word "if" in several perspectives. It observes the connecting function of the assumptive compound with "if" in the discourse in the syntax perspective .It indicates possible hypotheses and impossible hypotheses in the "if" sentence in semantic perspective, makes the corresponding comparative analysis with the result in the time perspective, and explores the pragmatic color of the "if" clauses in discourse.The paper has six chapters. Roughly as follows: first, analyzing the content usage "what if" delocalized in the sentence which contain: the connection of "if" in static phrases levels, sentence elements, the connection among clauses sentence or paragraphs. In the course of the study, we found that position of "if" in the discourse present flexibility and diversity. The position of"if"clauses can be sentence before, sentence middle even sentence end, can be in the subject, also can be in subject before, we can get different emotional color of the sentence from different highlight positions. In order to understand and apply the "if" sentence, we make a comparison from the "if" assumption with some special sentences which derive from the "if" assumption and indicates that distinction from the comparison. It indicates possible hypotheses and impossible hypotheses in the "if" sentence in semantic perspective with a corresponding analysis research. In pragmatic level, it will show the applicability of tone types in Assuming clauses and results clauses with substitution.
