In the 80's of last century, Li Longyun's drama achieved a great fame in theater, which reflects Beijing residents'living conditions in different historical periods. This play has the same mode with the drama"teahouse"by Lao She, no matter in terms of structure, or language style. A leading of Beijing People's Art even considers it as the sequel of"teahouse". Therefore, since the beginning of Li Longyun's appearance in the theater stage, he has been recognized as the "drama successor" of Lao She, Moreover, there are some reviewers classified him as the representative of Lao She's "Beijing realism " Dramatists. This paper will explore the heritance and the development relations between Li Longyun and Lao She in four parts. In the first part"unbroken link", we try to find how Li yunlong gets the most direct reference from Laoshe through thoroughly reading his works, and to find how he applys Lao She's ideas to his own works, or how he invites the characters in Lao She's works to his own dramas. In the second part"the dignity of the poor people", relying on the emotional experience, we discover that Li Longyun and Lao She are both good at holding the main theme or shout the voice of the time to, and both of them are also glad to describe the misery life of poor people as well as their struggle of destiny. The third part"thinking out of one mind"emphasizes on analyzing the internal reasons of why there appears so many"same elements"in Li Longyun's and Lao She's play. That is because they live under the similar social background, and both of them have a certain thinking of the superstition, the money, and the religion, although their thinking have some differences, the general direction is the same. The fourth part"Beijingness in the great northern wildness"aims at to study Li Longyun's unique artistic individuality. That is, to emphasize the internal spirit of literature, and not pursue fashion. The biggest difference between him and Lao She is that his main dramas are writing a complete autobiography story. But on the other hand, Lao She has written 8,000,000 characters, created 3652 works in his whole life , actually we can see he own shadow only in"Under the Pure Red"this work, meanwhile"Under the Pure Red"does not have a complete result, too.Certainly, it is worth to notice that Li Longyun encounters his bottleneck of writing in the 21st century. He only published two new scripts, and these two new scripts were not completely the author's originals. He meet a"rest on his own laurels"crisis in this period. The essence of play is to flow, not to stand, so it must continue to"explore new methods to fit the rhythm of new era", and to seek more development on the basis of good heritance.
