Objective:The purpose of this study is to make a standardized training CD in Mandarin, which is for the perceptual evaluation RBH System (Roughness, Breathiness, Hoarseness System), through the research of the RBH System for perceptual evaluation in Chinese version.Methods:(1)The voice sample were collected from79patients with dysphonia and15subjects with normal voices.(2)Perceptive evaluation:According to the R, B, H component of the RBH system, voice samples were graded into4scales from0to3,0for normal,1for slight dysphonia,2for moderate and3for severe dysphonia.(3)Objective evaluation:All the voices were recorded on a Davis2.5Software which also offers vocal analysis and DSI measurements.(4)Statistical tests: SPSS11.5statistical software was adopted to analysis all of the datum in the study.Results:(1) The consistency of Judges and consistencies between themselves are good. Kappa coefficient valued0.428-0.601between themselves; intraclass correlation coefficients were0.74-0.79and0.689-0.762between the judges of the first time and2nd assessment.(2) The results of comprehensive analysis between the subjective parameters R, B, H and the objective parameters Jitter, Shimmer, HNR, MPT and DSI:First, the correlation between R, B, H and Jitter, Shimmer, HNR, MPT, DSI is significant, P<0.01. second, R has the strongest correlation with Jitter and HNR, correlation coefficients were0.551,0.499,0.550. at last, B and MPT, H and DSI is highly negative correlation with each other, the correlation coefficient were0.620and0.613respectively.(3) The difference between the objective parameters according to subjective parameters R, B, H in4levels is obvious. For example, Jitter, Shimmer, HNR, MPT, and DSI difference was statistically significant, which is between each adjacent levels of H (p<0.05)(4) Through the analysis of consistency between R, B, H and DSI, make a CD with voice samples exactly same grade between H and DSI, which is containing of42cases, the value of men and women were roughly equal in each grade.Conclusions:(1) It is feasible to regard RBH as the Chinese version of the perception evaluation system for voice disorders. First, the consistency of Judges and consistencies between themselves are good in RBH. Second, the difference between the objective parameters according to subjective parameters R, B, H in4levels is obvious. The classification of R, B, H is reasonable and correct.(2) The comprehensive analysis between subjective parameters R, B, H and objective parameters of jitter, Shimmer, HNR, MPT, and DSI is useful for voice disorders in diagnosis and treatment.(3) Through the analysis of consistency between R, B, H and DSI, make a standardized training CD in Mandarin with voice samples exactly the same grade between H and DSI, which is the foundation of Chinese version of perceptual evaluation RBH System.
